Course Summary

The 2019 Forum Series Enduring Course is an evidence-based accredited continuing education experience from our 2019 live Forum Event that equips rheumatology nurses to deepen their effectiveness in all healthcare settings, provide information on the role of rheumatology nurses and advanced practice providers, and point them to innovative strategies for transforming rheumatology practice. Participants will gain greater knowledge and skill about best practices in the field of rheumatology, immunology, rheumatic diseases including rheumatoid arthritis (RA), gout, and more to apply to your daily practice.

Target Audience

The target audience for the forum includes registered nurses (RNs) and advanced practice providers (APPs)—which includes nurse practitioners (NPs) and physician assistants (PAs), and other healthcare professionals involved in the care of patients with rheumatic diseases.

Learning Objectives

  • Identify and apply the clinical essentials of rheumatology practice.
  • Provide accurate and current information for patient education.
  • Evaluate pharmacological therapies in the treatment and management in rheumatic diseases.

The Rheumatology Nurses Society is accredited with distinction as a provider of nursing continuing professional development by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation (Provider No. P0500).

There are no fees to participate in the activity. Participants must review the activity information including the learning objectives and disclosure statements, as well as the content of the activity. To receive CNE contact hours for your participation, please complete the post-test (achieving a passing grade of 75% or greater), and program evaluation. Your certificate can be printed immediately.
