This activity has been designed to meet the educational needs of rheumatology nurses, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants. Other healthcare providers may also participate.
Learning Objectives and Goals:
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:
- Identify common presenting characteristics of patients with ankylosing spondylitis (AS)
- Discuss treatment options both for newly-diagnosed patients with AS and patients whose
disease progresses despite use of NSAIDs

Participants will receive 0.5 hours of continuing nursing contact hours, with 0.5 pharmacotherapeutic
