Course Summary

Psoriatic Arthritis (PsA) is a common rheumatic disease with new advancements on the horizon. In this session, we will be exploring the latest guidelines from the American College of Rheumatology and Group for Research and Assessment of Psoriasis and Psoriatic Arthritis, recent and pipeline treatments, and looking at the current research in development.

Target Audience

The target audience for the forum includes registered nurses (RNs), nurse practitioners (NPs), physician assistants (PAs), and other healthcare professionals who are engaged in clinical practice, education, research, and advocacy for the care of adult and pediatric patients with rheumatic diseases.

Learning Objectives

  • Identify the current trends of practices impacting age appropriate care and treatment of the rheumatology patient.
  • Compare and contrast evidence based and evidence informed integrated practices.
  • Implement strategies designed to enhance resource utilization and mindful use of technology and research into rheumatology practice

Accreditation Statement

The Rheumatology Nurses Society is accredited with distinction as a provider of nursing continuing professional development by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation (Provider No. P0500).

Participants will receive 0.5 continuing nursing contact hours, including 0.5 pharmacotherapeutic hours, by actively participating in education sessions and completing an online evaluation upon completion of the program.
