Session Goals
RNs and APPs now have a deeper understanding of immune system pathology that leads to
autoimmune diseases that especially affect patients with rheumatic diseases. RNs and APPs will
apply this knowledge and be able to explain the mechanism of action of biologic treatments. RNs
and APPs have gained new knowledge and can better comprehend the diagnosis, clinical
presentation, comorbidities, and current treatment guidelines for Spondyloarthropathies (SpA);
including Psoriatic Arthritis (PsA), Ankylosing Spondylitis (AS), Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD),
Reactive Arthritis (ReA), and Uveitis.
