The RNS, a society for registered nurses (RNs) and advanced practice providers (APPs)—which includes nurse practitioners and physician assistants—invites you to the 2018 Fall Dinner Series on The Challenging Nature of Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE). Join us for a complimentary dinner alongside fellow rheumatology healthcare professionals. You will have the ability to network with other like‑minded professionals as well as earn 1.5 CNE contact hours during our accredited educational activity.

This educational initiative will focus on the following objectives:

Describe the immune response and cytokine mediators that trigger the development of SLE
Assess recent evidence regarding the benefits and limitations of mainstay treatments used to treat SLE
Discuss the mechanisms of action, appropriate patient populations, and safety considerations of recently approved and investigational agents used in the treatment of SLE
Identify common reasons for non-adherence in patients with SLE and develop strategies to overcome adherence barriers
