This course will offer economical and practical MSK ultrasound and orthobiologics training mostly by orthopedic surgeons.

The Orthobiologics Seminar on January 9 will offer a basic science and clinical update on current best practices for using PRP, stem cells, and other orthobiologics in orthopedics. The organizers will present evidence-based applications so participants can have scientifically accurate information to guide their clinical practice. During the seminar, a live ultrasound guided bone marrow aspiration cases will be performed and needle arthroscopy cases will be demonstrated with clinical tips to maximize the future successful performance of these procedures by participants.

The 2 last days of the course will be focused on ultrasound scanning tips and the ultrasound anatomy important for everyday clinical practice. Topics will include shoulder, elbow, wrist/hand, hip, knee, foot/ankle anatomy, and spine. Pathology and injection techniques will also be demonstrated in depth through clinical video and live hands-on afternoon sessions (one model per 3 participants). Since there will be multiple MSK ultrasound vendors, participants can observe and compare the latest portable, handheld, wired, and wireless ultrasound machines.
