Suzanne Fortuna is a Family Nurse Practitioner with over 20 years of experience and currently practices in pediatric gastroenterology and rheumatology at MetroHealth Medical Center in Cleveland, Ohio. She earned her DNP, MSN, and BSN from Ursuline College and began her career at Rainbow Babies and Children’s Hospital, where she worked for more than 20 years across surgical, chronic care, pediatric orthopedic surgery, and pediatric dentistry units.
Prior to joining MetroHealth’s Peds GI/Rheum team in 2020, Suzanne served as a DNP Clinical Nurse Specialist in the emergency department for the Level 1 Trauma Program, leading staff education, recruitment, and a new-hire mentoring initiative. She is a dedicated mentor to students, residents, and fellows and is actively involved in professional organizations including RNS, RhAPP, Sigma Theta Tau, and CARRA.
Outside of work, she enjoys skiing, hiking, biking, and spending time with her husband of 31 years, their three children, first grandchild, and rescue dog Sonny.
