The Rheumatology Nurses Society (RNS) is a non-profit professional nursing and advanced practice provider (APP) organization representing registered nurses (RNs), nurse practitioners (NPs), physician assistants (PAs), and other healthcare professionals who are engaged in clinical practice, education, research, and advocacy for the care of adult and pediatric patients with rheumatic diseases.

- Follow RNS strategic plan to promote rheumatology nursing and APPs as valuable team members that can positively impact the workforce shortage
- Work to help develop integration of nurses and APPs into a rheumatology practice

Responsibilities:
- Continue following the mission and vision of the RNS through the growth of chapters
- Assist the Chapter Development Team in annual planning and growth strategies

Advocacy
MISSION STATEMENT: Advocating on behalf of patients to improve access to care and reducing administrative burden to rheumatology nurses and advanced practice providers.
Responsibilities:
- Participate in local and federal hill meetings on behalf of the RNS
- Work with RNS advocacy board to continue the advocacy mission
